Atheists hate the one true God! More according to paolo probably in response to us.

Militant atheists pretty much all work from the same script.
Although viewing themselves as “free thinkers”, they all have a Party
Line they follow rather closely.
It isn’t difficult to anticipate their arguments on any
given point.  Most intelligent religious individuals almost always can
correctly predict what
you’ll say next.Interestingly, militant atheists get much of their
beliefs about “Christianity” from liberal Christians.
They’ll pejoratively label all Christians as “Fundies”,
then presumptively attack liberal theological concepts
they suppose us “Fundies” subscribe to !
Nearly all militant atheists are followers of the
religion of Scientism.  Their priests wear white lab
coats. Their sacramental objects are the microscope,
the telescope, and the test tube.  Blasphemy is to
deny the ultimate authority of science.
But the militant atheists -the ones who have devoted
their lives to refuting Christianity- are almost like the
demons ...who believe more firmly in God’s existence
than do Christians !
It can unequivocally be stated that militant atheists are some
of the people who most solidly believe in God !
Ain’t talking ‘practical atheists’ here ...those who don’t
even think much about atheism.  They’re the true
atheists.
Professional atheists who’ve dedicated themselves
to eradicating the Lord do so because they hate Him.
They’re the God-haters.
To which they’ll invariably reply: ‘How can we hate
something we don’t believe in ?‘.
Exactly !  It’s their belief in God which drives them to
relentlessly attack Him.
Run of the mill, everyday ‘practical atheists’ don’t
give God a second thought.  They’re the ones
I worry about.
Whereas militant atheists are fighting against the
innate knowledge of suppressed in their hearts.
As a militant atheist I can unequivocally state that there is no time
in their lives that they
totally disbelieved in God.  And -in fact- were driven to
work against the Lord by belief in Him !
It isn’t that militant atheists don’t believe God exists.
Instead: That they don’t want God to exist.

This is a piece written by paolojoejingy on Tuesday Nov 7th, probably in response to us since that E-mail to many members was issued on Nov 6th.  I was just about to write back to him on his google group thread when I thought that it may be better to use a unified position to help refute his claims.  There are ample examples of fallacious reasoning such as argumentum ad hominem but I am afraid that I will not represent the full range of views and issues that atheism and it’s variants entails.  I would really like to see if we all really do have a “party line” in terms of our beliefs.  So please comment with your response to our friend, just a focused bit on whatever aspect you think is perceived as wrong and is stereotypical.  I will compile it into a unified piece (or not if you want) and present it for him and others who have issues with our present pattern of thought.  Note that I will not edit any of your individual responses and will simply list who wrote the response unless it is created in bad taste and written just as an offensive attack.  Attack the idea, not the person (sounds very similar to “hate the sin, not the sinner”).  We can then use this piece as kinda a standardized response to many attacks on SEB and the like and not have to repeat the same lines over and over again (even thought we may love to anyway).  Please I ask of your input.  If none is given, I will move on my own but I thought it would be nice to cover all angles here.  I am looking practically for a thesis defense here, if you know what I mean.  Thank you for your time and consideration, it will not be wasted.

Don, you’re reaching or you don’t have the background to understand what you’re reading that’s provoking these not-particularly-thought-provoking pronouncements on the law. Here’s the rundown:

1. Tattoos are classified in some jurisdictions as minor medical procedures. That means they’re right there with getting your ears, nose, and tongue pierced. It can also mean they’re equivalent to having your labia and nipples pierced. It could mean they’re equivalent to receiving botox injections or going to a tanning salon. It might mean that tattoo parlors are covered by the same regulatory distinctions that massage therapists and physical therapists, and even psychologists are under.

That doesn’t mean there is some massive regulatory legal distinction about tattoos, it’s simply that there are legal hoops to leap through in some places before you’re allowed to give tattoos to the public. It certainly doesn’t mean that there are legal proscriptions about giving and receiving tattoos that don’t exist in some places for the other things that are often covered by the same blanket regulatory issues.

2. You say you can sue. Fine, you can sue for anything. It’s plain that you absolutely can sue for any perceived harm that you dream up. Jack Thompson sues about video games, and you could be the Jack Thompson of tattoos. Note though that Jack Thompson has never won anything more than the narrowest of legal victories or stays in his career as an anti-video game crusader, and you’re unlikely to receive any better treatment in the courts.

That is, Jack Thompson has a certain celebrity and political connections that has prevented him so far from disbarment and he’s had his bar license for decades. You obviously don’t possess a bar license, and you’d be unlikely to keep one for more than a week if you became unhinged and start laying out lawsuits like you claim to be able to.

3. Your understanding of the distinctions between the laws considering minors is BAD. Your understanding of the way Child Protective Services works is BAD.

4. Whatever your understanding of CPS and incompetency issues regarding minors is, your current post about trademark and copyright infringement shows an even worse understanding. One, the tattoo artists themselves create the artwork so any legal action would be directed at the tattoo artists and not the receptor of the art. Two, the majority of tattoo artists I know work from purchased or created in-house sheets of artwork in the first place so it’s a non-issue anyways. Three, even if you successful made a case of infringement for the guy parking the Best Buy logo on his forehead with a tattoo the very regulatory distinctions re: medical procedures you use to cite for other points in your ranting usually provide a protective blanket within the law.

Best Buy might argue enrichment and infringement, but Joe Schmoe probably isn’t going to make a good case for dilution, and you can’t compel people to undergo cosmetic surgery as a compensation for a copyright infringement case. If you had a birth mark that looked like the Internet Explorer E, do you think it would be a good idea if we allowed Bill Gates to sue you to remove your birthmark?

Don, stop being dumb.

KPG, I hadn’t heard that one ... and just cos I think you can’t have too much of a good thing, here are a few I found a coupla years ago.

Someone at the Algonquin Club suggested that a particular lady was her own worst enemy.
Dorothy Parker snapped back: Not while I’m alive!
Others say she was misquoted.

I’d rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

It serves me right for keeping all my eggs in one bastard.

The trans-Atlantic crossing was so rough the only thing I could keep on my stomach was the first mate.

(To an actor who kept talking of his ‘schedule’ using the British pronunciation)
If you don’t mind my saying so, I think you’re full of skit.

(When a friend asked how he could get rid of his cat)
Have you tried curiosity?

(Manager of hotel where she was staying)
Do you have a gentleman in your room? Just a minute and I’ll ask him.

Hopkins: Don’t you think she ought to wear a brassier in this scene.
Dorothy: God no! You’ve got to have something in the show that moves.

All I need is enough room to lay a hat and a few friends.

Do me a favour. When you get home throw you mother a bone.

and my favourite:
I like to have a martini -
two at the very most -
at three I’m under the table,
at four, I’m under the host! (Dorothy Parker)

I was watching an old clip of Groucho on You Bet Your Life awhile back. He was interviewing a contestant, a woman who said she had 20 children. Groucho gives her a disbelieving stare and she says “What can I say, I love my husband.“

Groucho replies “I Love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in awhile.“

Can anybody work out where the fuck Don is going?  He started off by ranting at tattoos- fine you hate em.  What exactly are you trying to prove.  So it’s illegal to tattoo a kid. Will he be arguing sex is illegal because you can’t do it to an 8 year old.

This started as an arguement by him against tattoos- but the incompetent pillock tried all sorts of wierd and wonderful arguements against tattoos.

Don, we get it. You can’t tattoo a kid, you can’t tattoo against someones will (extremists like Nazis excepted).

WITHOUT GOING OFF AT A TANGENT- apart from your personal taste, why shouldn’t some one of majority get a tattoo that would not cause offense/be illegal if it was on a T-shirt or bill board. No wierd argumenmts now like “because they might say kill all niggers”- As I said- legal for a T-shirt.

And for fucks sake learn to do this

It’s notdifficult, and you canalways use the preview button before posting tyo check layout etc

“Most commonly tattooing is sign of other criminal activity, or simply, not acceptable to raise a child in that influence, depending on severity, and CPS can and does intervene in family life.“

Citation please. Someone mentioned that their 71 year old grandmother had tattoos. My great uncle and grandfather had tattoos. Soccer moms have tattoos, and soldiers have tattoos. Where is the evidence you’re claiming for the commonality of criminal activity in tattooing? For the Maori tattooing has religious and cultural implications: Are you claiming that Maoris are all criminals? You’re now asserting that not only are tattoos some flavor of assault, but they also appear naturally with criminal activities or else somehow provoke criminal activity.

Don, stop being stupid.
