I think that test is poorly organized compared to the political compass.  I think the questions were poorly written as well.  There were a few you could assume different interpretations of what it meant to strongly disagree.  Here’s my results.  Les this puts us a lot further apart than we are on the political compass.

You are a

Social Liberal
(65% permissive)

and an…

Economic Liberal
(11% permissive)

You are best described as a:

Socialist

I couldn’t help wondering what is meant by “economic fairness.” Surely a socialist and a libertarian mean something very different by that phrase.

I find it odd that Les and I have almost identical scores on this test, but fairly different ones on the political compass, where I’m something like economic +1, social -5

I have to agree..very badly worded questions. I answered agree/disagree for virtually all of them...my “score” is in the right quadrant, but more centrist than I probably am.

Economic Moderate
(41% permissive)

Centrist

Lousy questions.  Example: “Social justice should be the foundation of any economic system.”

I strongly agree, but then again, social justice means different things to different people.  My definition of “social justice” is somewhat further right than the Cato Institute, yet this test moves me to the left when I agree.

Anyway, the only political test anyone needs is the Pew Research Center’s ”Beyond Red vs. Blue”.

I liked the structure of Pew’s survey.
My result:  Liberal

No real suprises on the economic part, except I would have guessed that I was closer to 90% permissive on the social liberal part.
