You’d think after the first few idiots burn themselves the rest of the idiots would smarten up a bit, but as this article proves it is unwise to over-estimate the ability of idiots to learn from other’s mistakes.
Fifteen-year-old Kelvin Wu initially told police he was set on fire Friday night while walking from the Issaquah-Skyline football game. Police were told that two men walking past the Issaquah teen flicked cigarette ashes onto his shirt and it caught fire, and that Wu’s friends tried to smother the flames but had to tear off the boy’s shirt.
Police Cmdr. Stan Conrad said officers later determined that along with four friends, Wu soaked his T-shirt in alcohol and lit it as his friends videotaped the stunt. But Wu suffered severe burns to his torso, arms, face, head and ears, police said.
The words “dumb ass” just don’t begin to describe. Unlike the hordes of parents and knee-jerk activists groups that are already penning angry letters to their editors about how horrible the Jackass movie and show are and how the creators of said product should be strung up by their testicles for putting out such crap, I firmly plant the blame for this on the now well-singed idiot kids who continue to set themselves on fire. As someone else said, this is just natural selection in action.

You cannot blame Jackass for any of these things, if Jackass did not exist teens would still do the stupidest things that come to mind, at times i do too...just not lighting myself on fire..idiots! anyways, Jackass has nothing to do with it, having fun and being outgoing and being a teen have everything to do with it, most of us teens are not occupied over summer vacation or on the weekends so we do something that seems fun and yet so stupid, something we can laugh about after wards if we don’t seriously hurt ourselves, and even if we do, we’ll probably do it again, and all of the after school programs are just more reasons to rebel. For example, my brother has started a teen wrestling program and already has plenty of wrestlers, of course i’m only a referee, his friend andy and him were wrestling and taping it, my brother took a steel chair and smacked it on the back of his friend’s head, it was nasty, it was bleeding really bad and we had to put pressure on it, then they lied and said andy hit himself with a door on accident. The point is, teens will be teens, the more friends they have, the better the chances of getting hurt, the more adults try to stop us, the more we rebel and the stupider we act.
and, oh, its not just the boys as one of you said, i do it too!
too uptight, you guys should worry about your own kids and quit complaining about other teens.
