Well, it’s official. Got the call from my contract house today. The Automotive Company is cutting my rate by 5%. This is definitely better than the 10% I had been hearing about in rumors, but when combined with the 7% cut I already went through over a year ago and the lack of a raise in two and a half years despite being forced into a new position I didn’t want with more responsibilities, well, I’ve decided it’s time to start huntin’. I’ll hang onto this job until I can find something else to do, but I’m hoping to get lucky and find something worthwhile sooner rather than later.
