YouTube user kirkslashspock came up with this interesting mash up between the old Star Trek cartoon and Pulp’s song Common People featuring William Shatner:

I don’t know if I’m more disturbed by the fact that I’m watching old Star Trek cartoon clips or that I actually enjoyed that song…

I love that song… it’s actually one of my favourites.  And kirkslashspock did a bang-up job editing that little ditty.

I would like to point out that Mr Shatners song is a cover of the original, by Pulp, rather than him being featured in the original.

At least its better than his version of ‘Mr Tambourine Man’

I would like to point out that Mr Shatners song is a not cover of the original but rather a re-release of the song by Pulp featuring Mr Shatner.

OK, it’s a cover but unlike Tambourine Man, Jarvis Cocker the singer/songwriter of Pulp, lisened to the song and gave his approval before its release, as he loved the new version.
