A happy 72nd Birthday to my Mom.

Today my mother turns 72 years old and I just wanted to take a moment to tell her publicly how much I love her and appreciate all that she’s done for me over the years. She’s given me a number of things that have served me well in my life ranging from a good sense of humor to much needed life-coping skills. If I am half as decent a person as I believe myself to be it’s largely due to her influence. As I’ve aged I’ve come to be able to appreciate her in ways I couldn’t when I was younger and much more stupid than I am today. It was to my unending good fortune that I lucked out and had her for a mother.

Thanks Mom. I love you and I hope your birthday is a happy one.
