Anne and I have arrived safely back at home once again after our little weekend away to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it’s good to be home. Not that we didn’t enjoy ourselves as the trip was more interesting than I had anticipated it to be, but for some reason I always feel glad to be back home amongst familiar things. We managed to see quite a bit of Frankenmuth considering that we tended to do so at a very leisurely pace and it has changed much over the past decade or so since I was last there.
The other couple we shared the bed and breakfast with were also there to celebrate their wedding anniversary and to renew their vows while doing it. Seems they renew their vows every year on their anniversary and in a different state of the union each time, though they confessed that they were considering the five islands of Hawaii to be five different states just because it’s worth going back to. Can’t say I disagree with that little bit of logic. They’ve renewed their vows there twice so far. As it turns out, they asked Anne and I to be their witnesses for their latest renewal that took place immediately after breakfast yesterday morning. A bit of a surprise for us, but they needed someone to take pictures for them anyway and we were already there. We were happy to help.
We really tested out the new RAM we bought for the digital camera and took lots of pictures of lots of things and we’ll be uploading some of them to the website a bit later. For now, though, I’m going to cut this short as I’m tired and I think I need to go to bed early tonight. Or at least try.
