Been meaning to write something, but haven’t had much to say so I’ll stick a few random thoughts into one entry and see if it adds up to anything…
- Anne has a new job and Courtney is back to school, which means when I wake up in the morning my only companion is the cat. It’s not like I’ve never woken up to an empty apartment before, but it’s been so long since the last time that it’s an odd experience once more.
- Sent out another two dozen or so resumes. I’m checking the job boards sometimes three times a day at this point. Calling up all my old buddies and former employers to see if anyone has any leads at all. Next up I’ll start handing in applications at local retailers and other assorted menial jobs in hopes of landing some work of some sort. Not looking forward to that.
- I’m letting my hair grow out. It’s around about an inch or so at the moment and getting to the point that I can brush it. Not sure if I’m going to grow it out for the winter or get annoyed with it and shave it off again. I actually wouldn’t mind if i were to go naturally bald at this point. I like having hair until it gets to be more trouble than it’s worth trying to groom it. Opinions on whether I look better with or without it are split around the 50/50 mark. I certainly look less scary with hair on my head.
- I’m still thinking of implementing a tag system here at SEB in lieu of the already existing category system. Every now and then I find that I don’t have quite the right category for a particular entry and I end up tossing it into one that doesn’t quite feel right. Then I debate on whether I will write enough on the same topic that I should create a new category for it. With a tagging system I’d just make up whatever categories I want on the fly and whether or not I’d ever write about that topic again is moot.
OK, gotta run. Got a freelance job to do this morning.

But wouldn’t that make it kinda hard to use for the readers? If you only use a tag once or twice, what is the use (maybe I don’t see what you want to implement, though)?
Make a category ‘Random’. Works like a charm for the red-striped zebras amongst your posts.
