“Insert Coin” looks like CGI, but it’s not.

I don’t even want to think of how long it took to make this stop-motion animation using coins. Check it:

As you can see at the end, the method they used was very clever and the end result is just amazing.

    I love the msic too. Sounds like it was written in machine code on a Zylog 80 or something lol very very cool

  • My favorite example of something vaguely similar to this “fake CGI” concept… the “wireframe” graphics during the “Escape from New York” glider approach scene.

    It’s not computer graphic animation but it’s still computer animation. As I’m an animation student in training, I find this nonetheless captivating. Thanks for posting Les!
