Please Do not attribute this madness to all of Turkey, and do not use the EU card based on this horrible incident. This is a Kurdish tribal custom, not Turkish.Kurdish are refusing to be educated despite there are lots of organizations trying to help them.. The Kurds,that most of the EU countries support againist Turkey!

Meshakhad – That idea may leave quite a few Orphaned children that were wanted. But I get how you feel… I also get that this is an acquired unique social learning curve at it’s worst.

It’s kind of like abortion. Some people would never dream of doing it. While others think of it as the norm. Same with same sex marriage or any number of things.

Much of the ( Social acceptance ) is learning to accept an action and make it as a presentable norm, and pass it on to Society. They do so in the best interest of others, or religious reasons, or concern for themselves or even the person they are murdering. They would tell you it is above all ( Justifiable Homicide ) but I’m sure they use another term for it like ( Sacrifice ) or some shit.

Honor killings make my blood boil. I think that those things that carry out honor killings should be destroyed by any means necessary. They are not human.

They are monsters.

That’s the problem, isn’t it? They’re not living in the 21st century, culturally/religiously speaking.

It’s hard to believe, living in the West in the 21st century, that this is still possible, isn’t it? Poor girl.

I read in a news article that this poor girl went to the police multiple times to complain of abuse, but each time was returned home to her abuser. I can’t help but wonder what role that played in this outcome.

Either way, this is absolutely horrific beyond imagining.
