“Spore” definitely coming to consoles after the PC and DS.

Here’s some good news for people who prefer to do their gaming on consoles rather than PCs. The folks at Maxis have said that the highly anticipated game Spore will be released for consoles, eventually:

During a Leipzig GC closed-door demo of Spore, Maxis reaffirmed plans to develop console versions of the ever-evolving sim game, but stressed that current resources were limited to the PC and DS builds. “Not right now, but we see this as a franchise,” Maxis exec Patrick Buechener told Eurogamer when asked about console releases, adding, “It just won’t be at launch.” So when is launch?

That’s a very good question as, according to the folks at 1Up.com, Spore is complete at this time, but isn’t expected to be released until sometime next year. Proving that Maxis is run by a bunch of sadists.
