Some days it doesn’t pay to be a shoe salesman.

This news item is exactly why I’m not a door-to-door shoe salesman.

A door to door shoe salesman? Oh come on now even NC cops can’t be that stupid.

I think they should charge the Salesman with Attempted Murder, Criminal Trespass, Destruction of personal Property, and Disturbing the Peace. If more people would beat the living shit of out these people when they show up at the door, we could all live in a more peaceful world.

That’s as good a story as ‘man bites dog’.  LOL

  • Perhaps he should work on his close.

Is this some sort of American euphamism for pimp/drug dealer/burglar.  Is selling shoes door to door for some reason illegal.  I didn’t get the comment

Police are still trying to figure out who will get charged.

either.  If the guy is just a salesman (and it’s not illegal) they charge the four on false imprisonment, assault, attempted theft of the car, consipracy, attempted murder and any firearms offences that apply.

  • He should learn a bit of NLP. It helps with the close

No, but it sounds weird and suspicious. I’ve never heard of a door-to-door shoe salesman, but then again, I live in an apartment. No salesman, Mormons, or Jehova’s Witnesses, because there is usually less money in apartments.

    Agreed.

The thieves/gunman were probably arrested/charged. It said a driver stopped but refused to help. They’re probably wondering why he refused, and if the driver should be charged with negligence. Throwing stuff at moving cars might be illegal, even if it’s your car, I don’t know.

The writer couldn’t even come up with a consistent article. The article starts with a shoe salesman knocks on the door to a vacant house. If that were true, this story would have been shorter, and very boring.
