Looks like Mel Gibson’s drunken rant about Jews and how he owns Malibu is already having an impact. ABC just announced they’re canceling a planned miniseries about the Holocaust Mel’s production company was supposed to make for them:
The incident has raised questions about the future of projects Gibson and his Icon Productions company are working on, like the ABC television miniseries based on a memoir about a Dutch Jew during World War II, the newspaper said.
An ABC representative told the paper, without elaborating, it has been two years and the network still has not seen a script, so the project is being pulled.
Well, that was very politic of them. They’re not canceling it because Mel has revealed his bigotry towards Jews, but because they’ve not seen a script. Very nicely played, Sugartits.
May I suggest a modification to that slogan? “Save a life, mock a Christian bigot.” Keep violence in video games and hollywood movies where it belongs.
whateva suits you, but i must respond. Your modification purposes a greater question as to what we do with drunken, racist, catholic lunatics: give them a taste of their own medicine like they so lovingly dealt out in salem, or keep them around for public amusement?
There’s been enough violence over people’s beliefs; let’s end that cycle. (Wasn’t it was Puritans rather than Catholics dealing out the medicine in Salem?)
