Jesus has returned and he’s a 35 year-old Hindu woman now.

Bet you never saw this one coming, eh?

DURBUN: A Hindu woman has said she is Jesus Christ and claims to have the “stigmata of Jesus” on her palms, feet and stomach, as well as the power to heal the sick.

Katherine Jhawarelall, 35, who has a degree in criminology, said that she was born with the stigmata and also claimed that Hebrew scriptures and religious symbols from the Bible appear on the walls of her home, an international daily reported.

She was quoted as saying that she was initially startled “but eventually came to realize and accept who she was.”

Yeah, I’d imagine suddenly realizing you’re not really a female Hindu criminologist, but the second coming of Christ would be just a teeny bit startling. I bet there’s going to be a lot of pissed off old rich white Christian Evangelists out there once they realize the prank Jesus has pulled on them now!

  • Re-birth makes a whole lot more sense than anything else out there. Buddhism also teaches that your current karma is a result of all your past causes, whether in this life or other lives. The good news is that you have the power to change all your karma, both past and present, by your good causes in this life. If this is true or not is immaterial, for it gives all of us a wonderful goal: live the best you can in this life and help others overcome their suffering (show compassion). You cannot attain the highest life condition by living in a cave.

    Peace.

leguru…thank u for the info about budhism. i agree with the path suggested. it is nice to do good and whether it earns u any brownie points or not it makes your day! the captchas are so difficult to see. what are they good for btw???

  • I am told captchas are more than difficult for computers to “see” so they eliminate some spam and what-not. If you become a member (see info above at right hand side) you do not need to pass them.

So many religions try to say that humans are not capable of leading “moral” lives without divine commandments, but you have hit on one of the things that make human morality even better than morality dictated by mythological beings. When you do good, it really does make your day!

    Peace.

I believe you. People are calling you crazy but they don’t know what it’s like to have had contact with people from heaven through a dream. My nonno (grandfather) spoke to me in a dream in 2009, he had just passed away, and we talked, he said some things that I never knew about and when I asked relatives if those things were true, they said they were and they were astonished that I found out about them. The truth is, that so many people have had contact but they’re to afraid to speak up because people will just shove them back down again.
I would just like to point out that our world is at a very bad time, and that bad things are happening, very dark things. All bad things are too hard to explain but, if you know anyone who has a cabbage patch doll, burn it. The people who make them put spells on them. Or so I’ve heard. Also get rid of any dream catchers. These are the only two bad things I’ve heard about but I’m sure there’s much more out there, just keep praying to God.

This is quickly becoming one of those threads that won’t die.

@ christina: Yeah, I was going to try and take your seriously until you got to the suggestion that people burn their Cabbage Patch dolls because the makers “put spells on them” and then all I could do was giggle. There’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for the dream with your grandfather, but given the warnings about dolls and dream catchers, well, I doubt you’d accept it if I said it. So not much point in doing so.
