Just in time for Christmas comes the all new Cthulu Lego Playset. Remember kids, the Dreamer has awoken!

It’s too bad it’s not a real product as I’m sure Eric would love to own one of these. Link found via Pharyngula. He has got to get that squid fetish under control.

Let us pause for a moment to remember “Who Will Be Eaten First” and the message of hope that Howard Hallis shared with us for so brief a time before being shut down by Jack Chick and his lawyers.

There is only one thing we can hope fore…TO BE EATEN FIRST!

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of Cthulhu, but now I think I shall look into reading the story, sounds interesting.

Okay, I gotta ask. I’ve been hearing about Cthulu (alternate spelling of Cthullu) for about six years now, yet I still don’t know who/what he/it is supposed to be. Where’d he/it come from? Who is his/its creator? Can someone enlighten me?

Cthulhu is the most readily identified god monster from the stories of H.P. Lovecraft.  Lovecraft was the great early American Horror writer.  Basically all the big names in modern horror cite him as a major influence.  His books are pretty nifty, and there are a slew of movies based in the Lovecraft Mythos.  Yup, that’s my short answer.
