Gravatar.com is down.

Couple of folks have written in asking about what’s up with their Gravatars not displaying and it appears that Gravatar.com is down due to an expired domain name. No word from Tom Werner on if it’ll be back anytime soon, but I suspect it will. Still, it’s caused no shortage of hand wringing among the blogging populace that have come to rely on the service. Now that EE supports avatars natively this is less of an issue for us as anyone who’s a registered member can simply upload their avatar to SEB and have it displayed in place of a Gravatar, but it’s nice to have for folks who have some sort of aversion to registering an account. Not critical, though, by any stretch of the imagination.
