I believe there is an objective reality that one might call the Absolute Truth, but that’s not what most people mean by the latter phrase.

I believe Absolute Truth exists, however it may not have to be preceded with either ‘the’ or ‘an’ (as in being exclusionary).

Perhaps as Free Thinkers, we have the Natural Rights to decide (or believe) what Truth is (ie; our individual or collective reality) as well as the Freedom to express that belief.  How we do it either as individuals or as a group is perhaps where the notion of relativity comes in.

Absolutely wonderful! So you see, anytime you make anything more sacred than a human being, you diminish the value of a human. Perhaps the most absolute truth is that human life is the highest value in our environment, and anything that encourages and gives variety and vitality to human life is to be encouraged and applauded. Since humans are an integral part of their environment, anything that perpetuates the best in that environment should be encouraged. And, since life would be extremely boring if everybody said and believed the same thing, I think variety and diversity should also be encouraged. How’s that for absolute truth?

You’re a very eloquent writer; I truly enjoyed reading this entry. I’ve often wondered if the idea of an Absolute Truth is even plausible, since Truth tends to depend on one’s point of view. And thank you for that list of absolutes, as well.

hey even that isn’t absolute. It’s absolut.

The concept of anything being absolute is merely an illusion or delusion depending on one’s own perception. The only possible exception being that of the brand ‘Absolute’ vodka.
